Homemade Salsa

A super easy homemade roasted salsa recipe with tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapenos.

Ingredients

  • 8 roma tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Turn your oven onto broil. 

     



  2. To make this salsa recipe with fresh tomatoes, you'll take 8 tomatoes and cut them in half.  

     

  3. Next cut the stem off two jalapenos and remove the seeds.  Cut in half, lengthwise.  

     

  4. Peel and roughly chop a small onion.  

     

  5. Remove the peel from 2 - 3 garlic cloves.  

     

  6. Place all of these ingredients on a baking sheet, then drizzle with olive oil.  Toss to coat well, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. 

     

  7. Place the baking sheet into the oven and broil until vegetables are starting to brown, checking every 5 - 10 minutes.  

     

  8. Allow the veggies to cool, then transfer to a blender.  Blend until smooth.
