Ingredients
Green Chile Cheeseburger
1poundlean ground beef
2garlic clovesminced
1/2tspsalt
1/4tspground pepper
1/4cupdiced green chile
4slicesmonterey jack cheese
8slicessliced sourdough breador bun of choice

Tortilla Strips
1medium-sized flour tortilla
1tbspolive oil
Pico De Gallo
1medium tomatodiced
1/4small oniondiced
1/2jalapenofinely chopped
2sprigs fresh cilantrochopped
dash salt and pepper
Instructions
Green Chile Cheeseburger
Combine ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper and mix well. Form into 4 round patties. Cook patties in a pan over medium heat, until cooked through. Add green chile and top with cheese. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover until cheese is melted. Remove from pan, and wipe pan clean. Add sourdough slices (or buns) to the same pan and toast on each side, until golden brown.
Spread a little mayo on each bread slice, then build the green chile cheeseburger by layering the bread with the burger, tortilla strips, then pico de gallo.
Tortilla Strips:
Cut the tortillas into very thin strips length-wise, then cut tortilla's width in thirds. Warm olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook until tortilla strips are golden brown and crisp.
Pico de Gallo:
Combine all pico de gallo ingredients and mix well.
